The Deep

The night is closing in.
It’s time to sleep
Let your dreams take over,
Pull you deep
 
Into a mystic sea
Where you will find
The wondrous thoughts
That live within the mind.
 
It’s here you rest
And you renew your soul,
And gather strength
Though life may take its toll.
 
It’s here we learn
Just who we’re born to be
And how to open eyes
To really see.
 
So slip into the depth
And fade away.
You will return
When sunlight brings the day.
