Whispers... : a water paradox--By Frances Simwinga--Malawi

Being Sisters
From the desert to the rain,
Feel the moisture; home again,
Flights of fancy in the sun
Are now past. The
journey’s done
As we find each old routine
Remembering everything we’ve seen
Over quiet cups of tea;
Spending hours, you and me.
Being sisters, home at last,
Leaving quarrels in the past,
Finding spirit after all,
Kindred moments we recall.
We are different, yet the same.
We’ve lived life.
We’ve passed through flame
Never knowing how we’d end,
Only glad for time to spend.

My Creations (Trimeric Poem)
I walk beneath the willow trees
Alive with memories of youth
And my creations born of love
Are left behind, but wait for me.
I walk beneath the willow trees
As morning beckons to the sun
And night creatures seek their beds.
Alive with memories of youth
The path runs past a swelling stream
That sings a song and makes a beat
And my creations born of love
Are echoed in the leaves above
And in the water’s sparkling;
All left behind, but wait for me
I will return and hold onto
Each one of you and build more dreams.

On The Good Side Of Manly (City in Australia)
Good Side of Manly
On the good side of Manly
Reflected sky
Framed by the trees
As ships float by
Green grass and city
Both seem serene
As gentle emotions
Float in between.
